I’m a massive advocate for printing our photography. It is the final step in realizing my vision and one of the best ways to enjoy what I have produced. If you do not already, I highly recommend periodically printing your work, framing your results, and displaying or gifting them to others. It’s an excellent way to enjoy your work further and share it. Selecting the best photos for prints can be a process; some photographs look good as prints, others do not.

I don’t take many photos for someone highly interested and passionate about photography. At least compared to others. There are months through the winter when I don’t even touch my camera. The winter months, cold weather, and limited light demotivate me. When spring comes, I start to get associated with my gear again and make sure I remember what and how I used to do things.

It’s been over a decade since I started travelling more regularly, and Lisa has been there for almost all of it. It all started with our first trip across the Atlantic, which took us to London at the end of 2012 and Paris in early 2013. Since then, there have been dozens of destinations, events, and shows, with countless restaurants, concerts, and many others. With the accumulation of these events, we have many photos and videos to look back on.

Our photography exists in a social world where instant sharing and feedback are the norms. The time needed to appreciate a photo truly has mostly been missed as people quickly view, like, and move on to the next thing. Today, the standard way for most people (probably including you and me) to view photos is online via Instagram or Twitter, as it’s the most convenient way to view someone’s work.
