Automotive and Travel Photographer Based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
I shoot automotive photography for private clients and dealerships, and I always have. But if you spend any time on this site, you’ll notice travel is where most of my attention actually goes.
I’ve been to Paris five times, returned to Lisbon four years after my first visit with what felt like a completely different eye for the city, and spent this past summer working through fifteen days in Portugal: Lisbon, Coimbra, Nazaré, Aveiro, and Porto, shooting JPEG-only for the first time. Somewhere between my adventures, travel photography stopped being something I did between automotive shoots and became its own focus entirely.
I’m most active on my blog, where I write about automotive photography technique, travel and street photography from recent trips, and the gear and editing decisions that underlie it all. I also have a YouTube channel I post to periodically.
I’ve self-published two books so far:
A Beginner’s Guide to Automotive Light Painting (2026) I wrote this because I kept covering the same fundamentals in numerous blog posts and never had anywhere to point someone who wanted the whole picture. It’s everything I’ve actually tried and tested over ten years of shoots, gear, setup, technique, and post-processing, put together for someone picking up a light wand for the first time.
Here and There (2025) A collection of travel work spanning 2013 to 2024. Looking back through over a decade of images to put this together taught me more about how my photographic eye has changed; it’s as much a record of that as it is a book of photographs.
